Sustainability Strategy
DS Smith
The Brief
DS Smith approached us for video production services to help refresh their Now & Next Sustainability Strategy.
They wanted a new lead video which would show that sustainability is at the heart of their business, and explain their strategy at a top-level.
Deliverables:
- One master video for external use
- One adaptation of the master video for internal use (slightly different top and tail but same master content)
- Video cuts for social & other channels – 1x under 60 sec summary cut plus 4x 30-60 video clips (one per pillar) in various formats including landscape for web & youtube, vertical 9:16 for reels & stories, 1:1 square…
We were also required to translate the videos (subtitles) into 11 core languages (French, Dutch, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish (ES), Bulgarian, Croatian, German, Romanian, & Serbian).
In total, the project had 234 different video files for delivery.
The Story We Told
The finished videos focus on the four pillars of DS Smith's Sustainability Strategy: Carbon, Nature, People & Communities, and Circularity.
It uses expert voices from across DS Smith's executive level to communicate the company's values and goals behind these pillars, and the CEO's voice is used as a bookend to tie the pillars together into one vision for the future.
