Family Fun Day

Fourteen Locks is a Monmouthshire, Brecon and Abergavenny Canals Trust (MBACT) location, featuring a flight of canal locks in South Wales.

They asked us to film a video of their upcoming Family Fun Day, showing off all the activities on offer, and capturing the fun vibe.

The video was being made for their social media channels, and also for display on their video installation in the Fourteen Locks museum.

We used interviews with volunteers from various local organisations present at the event alongside a scripted intro and outro from the Canal Centre to give us our narrative. The visual sequences were driven by the schedule of activities through the day, and the final edit is designed to create a feeling of appreciation and respect for nature, as well as encourage continued local support for the canal locks restoration project.
